About the event
The Great GA Pollinator Census is a project designed for any Georgian to participate and make a difference for pollinator conservation! Join us in this citizen science project created by the University of Georgia where Georgians count the insects that land on pollinator plants.Â
Do you and your family want to participate in the census and become citizen scientists? The Walton County Master Gardeners will be on site at the Friendship Park Pollinator Sanctuary August 20th, where we'll be happy to provide all the data collection tools and tutorials you'll need to make your counts. Â Bring the whole family and earn your Citizen Scientist Badges at our Pollinator Stations, which include: Pollinators Up Close, Bubble Station, Face Painting, Story Time, Monarch Life Cycle game, and a Chalk Walk along the Pollinator Pathway. Prizes and giveaways while supplies last!
