About the event
Hi at this kick off planning meeting we will review all the booths we hosted last year and determine which we will keep & identify those that we need to modify or replace. Â Then we will identify team captains for each of the booths and have each team captain work on supply list & budget requirements necessary to execute their assigned booth. Â We have a total budget of $400. Â Date of the event is August 19 , from 9 - noon, with an additional hour before and after for set up & take down/clean-up. Â This is the only standalone, push event we currently host and it requires many hands for execution. Â It is a great opportunity for us to interface with the public/families. Â Last year a big draw for kids. Â The Booths we hosted last year included: 1) Welcome, 2) Census, 3) Bugs Up Close, 4) Pollinaor pathway/bubble fun, 5) Honeybees, 6) Story Time, 7) Facepainting, 8) Refreshments (water & popsicles) and 9) pollinator life cycle walk. Â Most booths were highly successful but I think a few can be swapped out with others that may be more impactful/hands on for the kids. Â But we will discuss all this as a team and plan another execellent event. Â Look forward to seeing you all! Â We will also have ongoing planning meetings which we can schedule basis best availability for all after this first session. Â
