Come on out to support dual worksession at the experiential learning garden. We will initiate work on the shade garden by creating the bed & covering with compost. Veggie garden work will include completing the raised beds & filling with compost.

Come on out and support this large work effort to make signifincant progress on the veggie bed area of the garden and kick off installation of the shade garden. See details belows.
Shade Garden: During this session we will 1) use half moon tools or spades to create crsip/clean garden bed lines, 2) we will cover the entire bed with 1 - 2 layers of cardboard & then completely soak this layer with water, 3) finally we will spread 9 cubic yards of compost creating a 3-4 inch layer over the cardboard layer.. The compost will be delivered during our worksession and will be widelty durmped over the bed so raking won't be a monumental task!
Veggie Garden - Complete installation of raised beds and fill all with delivered compost
Pls bring handtools, garden gloves, knee pads, rakes, half moon tool or spade, wheel barrow if you have one.
