A CHILDS VOICE ROUND IV - INSTALLATION OF A CUTTING GARDEN

Hello, please come on out and assist with Phase I installation of a cutting garden at A Child's Voice.  Bed outlines have already been drawn, and 811 has marked the beds.  Our goal this session will be to edge the bed then cover with cardboard and spread 2 cubic yards of compost.  We will let the bed sit fallow for 2 months and then till under/plant in early May.  This garden is special.  The staff will use this bed as a place of recovery and peace for the kids as they will be able to harvest a bouquet following the trauma of a foresnic interview or medical exam.   Please bring  spade or eding tool, rakes, wheel barrow if you have one.  This will be much like the work we did at the Extension Office, but on a smaller scale.  Also looking for someone with a pick up who would be willing to run out to Master Landscape Supply to pick up/deliver the compost.  Thanks everyone.  For those new to the group A Child's Voice is an advocacy group that supports kids & their families throughout Walton County who have been traumatized by sexual abuse, sexaul trafficing, severe physical abuse or have witness a violent crime.  Perhaps we can bring some small peace to these tender victims through flowers.  Call Linda or Janet with questions or if  you can help with compost pick up.
